To begin with I edited my photo to change the colour scheme to black and white. I then put a black surround around the picture. I then created a duplicate layer. and tried to use the magic wand tool to cut out jarvis cocker. but as the colours are black and white, I had to zoom in and rub out the surround for him so that I could put in my text, and have his figure over the top of the text.

Lawrence, you have successfully completed the photoshop skills development task, using tools that will be invaluable when it comes to your main task construction, and have also shown that you have been actively developing your skills with a mock magazine cover. If you complete any other Photoshop tutorials / activities, be sure to keep a record of what you have done for your skills development.
